different times. different people. Same God.

the years have stretched us apart
and left a mark in between.

we rub in the aloe
to try and erase it,
but it's not leaving fast enough.
And even if it goes away,
it'll never truly fade.

So we are stuck
with the faint reminder
Of our connection
As well as the reailty
that we are no longer connected.

And yet in the grand scheme of things
We forget to notice that,
when taking in the picture,
When seeing ourselves in the mirror,
The entirety envelopes the minute details.

Therefore, we can take solace in the fact
That though wrinkles and stretch marks may litter our body,
And the imperfections numerous when counted out,

We are still good.
Healthy.
And Loved.
